Where Indiana Jones Meets Your Next MICE Adventure

Almería is emerging as one of Spain’s most reliable new destinations for receptive agencies, MICE, and cruise operators. Its fully restored historic center is crowned by the largest Alcazaba in Andalusia and a unique fortified cathedral facing the sea. The opening of the MUREC — Museo de Realismo Español Contemporáneo — together with outstanding gastronomy adds strong cultural appeal, while the upcoming arrival of the AVE high-speed train at the end of 2026 secures its future positioning.

Beyond its urban heart, Almería is inseparable from cinema itself, with the vast landscapes of Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park providing some of the most iconic backdrops in film history.

Lorens experience in Almería

The cultural DNA linking
gastronomy and cinema

With Lorens, Almería becomes a living stage where heritage, architecture, gastronomy, and film images interact. Participants discover the city’s cultural and historical layers while walking through emblematic filming locations and watching scenes projected directly on site.
The restored center, the Alcazaba, the fortified cathedral, and the coastal horizons blend with a remarkable cinematic memory — from legendary westerns to contemporary productions, with the local tapa tradition of Almería and Granada adding a sought-after touch for groups and MICE

Discovering Almería
step by step

Our signature group tour unfolds through the city’s historic core: strolling along the Rambla, discovering the restored Plaza Vieja, stepping into the Teatro Cervantes, climbing to the Alcazaba, and wandering through the colorful streets of La Chanca. Along the way, film sequences are projected directly on site, transforming each stop into a moment of shared discovery and recognition.

This is the standard Lorens circuit for groups — a balanced blend of heritage, cinema, and conviviality. On this base, we can easily add tailor-made options: tastings of local gastronomy, thematic modules for corporate incentives, or extensions into Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. A flexible format that adapts naturally to the needs of receptive agencies, MICE organizers, and cruise operators.
