The MICE Movida

For years, the clicking heels of Almodóvar’s heroines have embodied Madrid’s modern face on screen. But beyond this icon, the city’s true strength lies in its diversity: a capital where history, lifestyles, and cultures intertwine. With Lorens, none of these highlights are missed – from the Royal Palace to Gran Vía – yet each is revealed with a cinematic twist that makes the city’s intense heritage more accessible for groups and MICE.

More than 700 film sequences punctuate the centre of Madrid, reflecting the richness of its heritage as much as the variety of its communities. From Almodóvar’s universe to international productions, cinema mirrors Madrid’s identity as a place of encounters and contrasts. Lorens turns this cinematic diversity into a professional tool: a daytime walk through monumental Madrid, or an immersive nocturnal visit in the footsteps of the movida that made the capital a global symbol of freedom and creativity.

Lorens experience in Madrid

A narrative between
movida and cinema

With Lorens, Madrid becomes a cinematic capital where heritage and moving images meet. Participants walk through emblematic sites while sequences are projected directly on location or accessed via QR codes. The Royal Palace, the Teatro Real, the Plaza Mayor, and the Gran Vía stand alongside neighbourhoods full of character such as Malasaña and Chueca, blending architectural splendour with the colours and emotions of cinema. Madrid is not only a political and cultural capital; it is also one of Europe’s most filmed cities.

Highlights of the visit

A typical route begins at the Royal Palace and the Opera district, before entering the Plaza Mayor and its arcades. From there, the walk leads to Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía, Madrid’s most cinematic avenue, with its theatres and neon lights. Extensions can take groups into Malasaña, cradle of the movida, or Chueca, today a symbol of diversity and creativity. By day, the city unfolds its monuments and history; by night, it becomes one of Lorens’ most vibrant nocturnal experiences, echoing the colours and emotions of Almodóvar’s cinema.
