What would Lorens be
without Lumière!
Lyon stands as one of France’s strongest destinations for groups and MICE. Monumental discovery and gastronomy are already part of every classic circuit, from Fourvière to Vieux Lyon and the bouchons. And yet, curiously, no one had revealed the city through cinema — even though the 7th art was born here in 1895 with the Lumière brothers.

Lorens experience in Lyon

A narrative between
origins and Cinema
With Lorens, Lyon becomes both the birthplace of cinema and a living stage for discovery. Participants explore emblematic monuments and hidden corners while film sequences are projected directly on site or accessed via QR codes. The Basilica of Fourvière, the Renaissance streets of Vieux Lyon, the Presqu’île, and the traboules dialogue with the earliest Lumière images, making Lyon a unique city where film heritage and urban discovery merge.

Offer Lyon its most universal visit:

A suggested experience
A typical visit begins at the Opéra and the Place des Terreaux, before descending towards the banks of the Saône. From there, the walk leads into the Old Town through the districts of Saint-Paul and Saint-Jean, revealing the Renaissance character of Lyon. The itinerary can extend to the Presqu’île squares, the Parc de la Tête d’Or, and even towards the modern Confluence district. By day, cinema dialogues with the city’s monuments and gastronomy; by night, projections bring Lyon’s identity as the cradle of cinema to life in an unforgettable open-air experience.
