Seminar for the future Lyon guides
Written by Lorens

On February 26, Lorens held a training seminar on the image of Lyon through cinema, designed for the four future guides of the Lyon team.
This training explored how Lyon fits into tourism through cinema, going beyond simple visits to filming locations. As the birthplace of cinema with the Lumière brothers, the city is a key reference point for understanding the evolution of the seventh art and its impact on the territory. The objective was to equip guides with tools to present Lyon as a cinematic destination, linking films shot in the city to its history and cultural heritage.
Topics covered :
- Lyon and tourism through cinema: from the Lumières’ early films to contemporary influences
- Showcasing filming locations as cinematic heritage beyond their on-screen presence
- Integrating projections and immersive storytelling to enhance the tourist experience
- Adapting narratives to the expectations of an audience seeking a cultural and transversal approach
Thanks to this seminar, the guides are now better prepared to offer tours that go beyond simple filming anecdotes and allow visitors to discover Lyon through cinema, as a reflection of its cultural identity and urban evolution.
